Kristin Henkaline is the Program Manager for the Research Commons in University Libraries at The Ohio State University.  In her role, she plans, implements, and manages services for the Research Commons.  In addition, she leads the development and implementation of program policies and assessment and evaluation strategies for Research Commons spaces and services.    


About Kristin

Kristin has a strong background in educational outreach and the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs.  She has over ten years of experience in education, program management, and research support and over 8 years of experience teaching and mentoring college students.

She completed the Teaching Support Program through the Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning in 2019 and earned an endorsement in Meaningful Inquiry in 2020.  She completed The Women’s Place Staff Leadership Series in 2021 and The Advancing Managers Program in 2022.  Kristin also holds a certification as a Tableau desktop specialist.   

Kristin earned her B.S.S. in American Social Sciences from Ohio University, an M.Ed. in Integrated Social Studies Education from The Ohio State University, and her Ph.D. in Educational Studies with an interdisciplinary specialization in Applied Developmental Science in Education from The Ohio State University.
