University Libraries endorses the following committees for the governance of matters pertaining to its faculty.
Faculty Advisory Council (FAC) – Faculty consultation on matters of planning, policy, and other items of general interest.
Committee on Appointment Promotion and Tenure (AP&T) – Criteria and practices surrounding promotion, tenure, and faculty review.
Faculty Review Board (FRB) – Ombudsmanship for members of the faculty who have been unable to resolve specific problems through the normal administrative channels.
Faculty Hearing Committee – Hearing of complaints filed against regular, regular clinical, and auxiliary faculty members.
Committee on Faculty Benefits, Responsibilities, and Research (CFBRR) – Promotes research activities and projects by library faculty, recommends distribution of travel and research funds within the Libraries, and, when requested, advises those engaged in research.
Teaching & Learning Committee – Serves as the curriculum review body for credit courses offered through the Libraries, coordinates the Peer Evaluation of Teaching process for tenure-track faculty and the Libraries teaching awards.
