For Faculty, Graduate Students, and Independent Scholars

Research AwardsThe Libraries offers various awards to support research projects that require substantial on-site use of our distinctive collections. These awards are open to graduate students, faculty, and independent scholars who need to travel to the Ohio State University’s main campus to advance their research.

For OSU Faculty

Open Access Monographs Initiative - Under this initiative, peer-reviewed and professionally edited university press humanities and humanistic social sciences monographs will be funded through partnering universities and published as Open Access digital editions, available at no cost to the public.

For Undergraduates

Undergraduate Research Library Fellowship - The award, up to $4,000, is open to undergraduate students studying any major who meet requirements for enrollment and time commitment.

For Graduate and Undergraduate Students

Rudolph Student Book Awards - This essay contest offers $1,500 scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students to encourage young people to develop an interest in books and to pursue collections of their own.
