Teaching with University Libraries

Instructional session with a small group of students.

University Libraries offers instructors in all disciplines access to a range of expertise, resources, and services to help improve learning outcomes and increase student success.

Start with University Libraries to incorporate supplemental instruction and course materials to assist your students as they develop their skills in critical thinking, awareness of library resources, and understanding of the research process.

Work with knowledgeable librarians and specialists, who are available to collaborate on course design or selection of course materials, to provide access to primary sources and tours of OSUL special collections, and present guest lectures on research practices, discipline-specific resources, or current exhibits.

Access flexible resources and tools such as subject and course guides, course reserves, and instructional materials to enhance your course content and create active learning opportunities.

Leverage student-focused services like the research tutor, research presentations, the First Year Success Series, and library-taught skills-building courses to give students the help they may need to improve their understanding of the research process.
