Bungei’s Summer 2005 issue (Volume 44 Number 2) focuses on Shiriagari Kotobuki しりあがり寿, the prolific mangaka whose 4-panel cartoons appear daily in the evening edition of the Asahi Shinbun. The issue includes a bibliography of his published books (p. 130-139) and an illustrated chronology of his life and career (p. 140-143), both annotated by the cartoonist himself. Ohio State’s manga collection includes many works by Shiriagari Kotobuki, including the first collection of his Asahi Shinbun cartoons, 地球防衛家のヒトビト.
