A Walk in Our 'Shoe : the history of Ohio Stadium

(Image: Eloise Fromme, Ox Roast, 1920) The heart of the campaign was Stadium Week, an array of speeches, pageants and parades running from October 18 to October 23, 1920. On October 16, a plaster mock-up of the Stadium was introduced at the Ox Roast by Eloise Fromme, newly elected Stadium Girl by the student body. Celebratory artillery blasts greeted campus the morning of October 22. OSU Football star Chic Harley was enlisted to promote the new Stadium: "We're heart and soul for this stadium, the fellows who know what it is to go in there and fight with all that's in it for Ohio State and her glory."
