Voices in Humanism:
A Collaboration Between the Medical Heritage Center and the OSU Gold Humanism Honor Society Resident Chapter

In April of 2020, two groups began to collaborate to collect, preserve and share artwork created during this time of dual pandemics. The arts reflect so much about the times that we live in and the Medical Heritage Center hoped to capture all aspects of this challenging time for its archives. At the same time, the Gold Humanism Honor Society’s Resident Chapter was looking for ways to support and honor the resident physicians who were given so much responsibility in managing the pandemic. From these two perspectives, Voices in Humanism was born.

Voices in Humanism seeks artwork created by students, residents, faculty, staff, alumni and all members of our health care family here at OSU. We hope to collect artwork that might be archived in the Medical Heritage Center and shared as part of an outreach to our medical community. As of November 2020, we have collected sixty works of art from forty-five artists and we welcome additions.

If you would like your work sent directly to the archives, please contact Kristin Rodgers: Kristin.rodgers@osumc.edu.

If you would like your work to be collected, preserved and shared through the Voices in Humanism network, please contact Linda Stone, MD: LCStoneMD@columbus.rr.com.
