Group Study Room Reservation Guidelines

Thompson, 18th Ave, BioSci/Pharmacy, and FAES Library

  • The purpose of these rooms is for group study, not individual study.
    • Groups are encouraged to make a reservation so others coming later will not reserve the room.
  • A group that is more than 15 minutes late forfeits the reservation.
    • This includes an individual who’s group has not arrived within the 15 minute start of reservation or is awaiting the arrival of other group members.
  • Unscheduled times are available for walk-in use.
    • Groups have priority for use of room.
    • An individual user must immediately release a room to a group upon request.
  • Leaving personal belongings in a study room does NOT reserve the space.
    • Unattended belongings may be stolen and can pose a security risk for everyone.
  • Please keep the noise down so as not to disturb others.
    • Although the group study room is a more private space, sound can leak through the walls.
  • Room should be reset, with additional furniture removed, and all food and drink must be cleaned up before you leave so the room is ready for the next user.
  • You may be asked to vacate the room immediately at the discretion of Library staff or security.
  • Sleeping in group study rooms is NOT permitted.
