  • Recto: Image related to Don Quixote. Verso: perforated and divided into ten small ration coupons.
  • The ration coupons were likely made during the 1970s and bear no resemblance to any surviving examples of real or official ration coupons printed and issued during the Spanish Civil War.
  • Sheet No.68: Three illustrations, the top featuring a drawing of Don Quijote being stung by a bee and with the text “El efecto de muchas picaduras de abejas por culpa de su insensated y la locura. El hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha”; at the center, an image of Rocinante and Sancho’s donkey, Dapple, with the text “De tal dueño tal animal”; and at the bottom a drawing of Sancho Panza and his stomach, with the text “El efecto de comer como un gorrino y un glotón.
