  • 1044-front: Drawing depicts a woman in two different outfits. In Act 1, the woman (left side) wears a calf-length, V-necked dress in white with a black leaf pattern. It has a drop waist and a panel inserted in the neckline. Over that is an open long green jacket. She holds a purse in one gloved hand and a green umbrella in the other. She has black shoes with double straps and a modest hat with a turned-up brim. In Act 2 (right side), she wears an orange dress with a long curved white collar and tie, striped stockings, and peach colored dress shoes. One arm is behind her back and the other holds a walking stick. Her hair is pulled back. The drawings are tinted with watercolor washes, and swatches are affixed on the left. 1044-back: Labeling notes and an additional swatch.
