  • This small cover has a South Pole Air Mail Byrd Antarctic Expedition cachet at the bottom and a SS City of New York postmark. There are four short, straight killers across a <a href="http://arago.si.edu/index.asp?con=1&cmd=1&mode=1&tid=2033344&" target="_blank">5-cent Beacon Airmail stamp</a>. At the bottom left, it is stamped NOV 28 &rsquo;29. The back has two postmarks, both from Little America, that cancel a <a href="http://www.arago.si.edu/index.asp?con=1&cmd=1&mode=1&tid=2033020" target="_blank">3-cent perforated Byrd Antarctic Expedition II stamp</a>, one from 1/30/1935 and one from 1/31/1934. There are no addresses. There are 37 other covers that are identical, resulting in 38 total items. Postmarked: February 19, 1930 - AM (S. S. City of New York); January 31, 1934 - 8:30 PM (Little America); January 30, 1935 - 12M (Little America)
