  • This larger cover is a policy/catalog style envelope that was postmarked on the S. S. Eleanor Bolling during the First Byrd Antarctic Expedition. There are four short, straight killer bars across a <a href="http://www.arago.si.edu/index.asp?con=1&cmd=1&mode=1&tid=2033917" target="_blank">2-cent Washington stamp</a>. The standard BAE I pictoral cachet is at the upper left of the cover, without any words and with all 8 lines in the BAE seal. The back has another SS Eleanor Bolling postmark dial, without the date in the middle. Postmarked: November, 15, 1929 - AM
