Summary
  • Thimble Theatre: Ham tells Castor their business is a flop. They have a ton of soda water on hand but the men want something stronger. They mix up a concoction with turpentine, red pepper, tobacco, quinin and lye in it. A customer comes up and they take him in the backroom after drinking it. They beat him up. They are convinced this will change his attitude and he will swear off the hard stuff. He comes back with friends and they all want what he got earlier.
  • Sappo: John is playing poker and his friends tell him it is late and he should go home. Myrtle is at home and is angry. She gets ready to hit him with the rolling pin. He comes home, holds up the dummy head from behind the chair. She throws the rolling pin at the dummy head and then hits his real head. He thinks "what's the use?"
