Summary
  • On "Black Studies Broadcast Journal", Professor Mary Ann Williams interviews Mal Goode. Goode discusses the daily psychological struggles growing up as a African American while pursing his dream of a career in broadcasting. Topics include how Black students can succeed in school and the education of Black athletes. According to Goode, athletic coaches took advantage of Black athletes' athletic skills and by doing so, the athletes' educations suffered. In closing, Goode hopes that his work in broadcasting would bring a positive change for minorities.
