- Side A: Vern Greene interviews Charles Schulz about effective drawing, inspiration, the balance between drawing and ideas, abstraction, and the origins of Peanuts characters and their names. He also talks franchising and Peanuts merchandise. Side B: Schulz is interviewed about the international distribution of Peanuts, the title of the strip, his work history, the character of Lucy, and animated cartoons.
- Description
- Sound quality good. Some issues with the tape recorder at first on Side A. Interview must date before 1965, when Greene passed away. On Side B, Schulz's youngest daughter, Jill, interrupts the interview at about 15 minutes. Side B interview dates c. 1962, when Jill Schulz was four years old.
