Dance Notation Bureau Collection

The Dance Notation Bureau, in New York, NY, is a service organization for dance promoting study, teaching and documentation with Labanotation. The Collection contains original manuscripts of dance scores, the papers of Richard Holden, Albrecht Knust, Helen Priest Rogers, and Carl Wolz, administrative and financial records of the Dance Notation Bureau, and correspondence and agreements with the Ohio State University Libraries regarding the Dance Notation Bureau Extension program and collections. The collection also contains dance notation teaching materials, including workshop and lecture materials, manuals, lesson plans, test materials, syllabi, workbooks, study guides, bibliographies, biographical material and photographs related to prominent notators, transparencies, theses, and correspondence courses.
