Sidney Kingsley Papers

The Sidney Kingsley Papers contains materials from the professional and personal lives of playwright Sidney Kingsley and his wife, actress Madge Evans. Contents range from clippings and photographs of Madge in her childhood career to research done for Sidney's plays, and drafts and drawings related to the plays themselves. There are also financial papers, receipts, and personal correspondence.


Materials found in the collection are primarily paper or photographic in nature, though there are several film reels, reel-to-reel audio tapes, cassette tapes, Tandy disks, U-Matic tapes, VHS tapes, transcription tapes, glass slides, and personal artifacts.


Contained here are two interviews with dancer Martha Graham.
