The Scanned Maps Collection contains scans of print maps from the University Libraries. The goal of this collection is to be a collection of scanned maps covering multiple:
• Time periods.
• Languages.
• Regions of the world.
• Sources, including government and commercially-produced.
• Subject areas, including geological and geographic features, climate, land use, agriculture, transportation, historic places, socioeconomic topics, and more.
The University Libraries’ print map collections are primarily held in Thompson Library’s Gardner Family Map Room, the Geology Library, and Thompson’s Rare Books & Manuscripts Library. For more information on maps at Ohio State and beyond, see our Maps Guide.
