ID Resolution
The OSU Libraries 1811 Handle is now shared between the Knowledge Bank and the Image Collections system. The KB has been using the handle.net permanent identifier system for many years. Now both systems will be able to create handles for their own items, and all requests via the handle system will forward users to the appropriate record in either system. This is an important step in extending our long-term digital preservation efforts to our newer systems while preserving our existing resources.
