The OSU campus shut down for two weeks after the May 4, 1970, deaths of four students at Kent State. It is the longest period during which the campus has been closed. Anyone who required access to campus - students, researchers and administrators - were required to have a pass, such as this one allowing the bearer to be on University grounds after hours.
