A friendly reminder that the Advancing Social Justice through University Libraries Collections Inventory Our Work Working Group is inviting all University Libraries staff and faculty to complete a brief survey to help us learn about the collections work individuals and units are doing in connection with diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility (DEIA) and social justice and the current partnerships we have built on campus and in the community.
Collections work advancing social justice can include selecting print materials and digital collections, licensing and purchasing, digitization and digital preservation, access and accessibility, description, and teaching and outreach using collections.
Thank you for helping us create a comprehensive inventory by completing this brief survey. Please feel free to submit any projects or activities you are involved in or know about, even if you think others may submit the same examples. This survey is an information-gathering exercise and not an assessment; it is intended to help us to learn and communicate the work individuals and units are doing to advance social justice.
The survey will be open until Friday, April 16, 2021.
Please submit a separate survey response for each activity you are reporting.
If you have any questions about the purpose of this working group or survey, please let us know by contacting Maureen Walsh (email@example.com).
