The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum is pleased to announce Anne Drozd as Museum Coordinator!

Anne Drozd has gained extensive experience connecting the public with art in meaningful ways over the past 15 years through her work at the University of Michigan Museum of Art and the Ann Arbor District Library. She co-organizes the Ann Arbor Comic Arts Festival by coordinating with partner organizations to develop exhibitions of comics art and interactive programming. She is also a cartoonist, co-authoring Science Comics: Rockets (First Second Books) with her husband Jerzy in 2018 in addition to making various mini-comics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History, and a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science.

In her role as Museum Coordinator for BICLM, Drozd will be responsible for organizing, managing, and promoting exhibitions and educational events for BICLM’s exhibition galleries. She will coordinate all administrative aspects of the museum including museum operations, exhibits workflow, programming and communications, and will help BICLM engage with a broader, all-ages audience. We are thrilled to welcome her aboard!
