An example of the Tudor Revivalist style, the Women’s Field House was completed in the spring of 1927.

A barn—the first structure built by the university in 1871—had been demolished, and stone from the barn was incorporated into the new building.

In 2002, the building, (all 100 tons of it), was rolled farther west need toward Cannon Drive to make room for construction of the RPAC.
