How do I reserve a Group Study Room?

Group Study Rooms are available for OSU students, faculty and staff to reserve at many of the library locations.   

How do Student Organizations reserve rooms?

Student Organizations in good standing with the University may reserve select rooms for up to two hours at no charge using the Student Organization Room Reservation Form.

Can I use a meeting room without making a reservation?

When rooms are not reserved, they are considered open student study space. Calendars posted outside the rooms will indicate if the room is available.

How do I rent a room?

Please submit the Rental Request Form at least two weeks in advance. Someone from our event team will contact you within three business days to confirm room availability. 

What furniture can I use in a rented room?

Rental cost includes use of the existing furniture in the room. Furniture cannot be cleared from the room. Event planners should view the room in advance to determine if the set up will suit their needs.

Can I serve food in University Libraries' facilities?

University Catering is the preferred caterer for University Libraries.  

Can I serve alcohol in a University Libraries space or meeting room?

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at University Libraries' locations. Requests for exceptions to this policy can be made through University Catering.  

Are there any restricted dates?

Rooms cannot be rented or reserved the week before or during finals. There are no exceptions to this policy. Please see The Ohio State University academic calendar for specific dates.  

Are rooms available to rent at all University Libraries' locations?
