This session will address some of the similarities and differences between the funding processes for federal/state agencies and private foundations. Topics include:

  • Best practices for engaging with sponsors
  • Navigating the research administration/proposal development and submission process
  • Drafting a compelling narrative
  • Seeking funding; Including the SPIN Funding Opportunities system and other funding resources
  • Examples of writing that is both persuasive and clear

BETHA Grant Pre-Proposal Workshop

The Office of Research is pleased to offer a pre-proposal workshop for those who may be considering submitting a proposal for the Battelle Engineering, Technology and Human Affairs grants (due 12/3/2019). This 90-minute session will feature a panel of past BETHA recipients and review committee members who will share tips for writing a successful proposal and discuss criteria used in the review process.
