The Office of Responsible Research Practices (ORRP) staff hold office hours to help researchers, including graduate and undergraduate students, who are preparing Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and exemption requests. Sessions are intended to help investigators, research staff, students and their faculty advisors navigate IRB forms, policies and review procedures.  Researchers can get assistance with:

  • Buck-IRB application responses
  • Clarifying Ohio State HRPP policies
  • Identifying potential regulatory issues
  • Tips to expedite the review process

Researchers seeking assistance with study design or development should work with their advisor, the Ohio State Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS)  (medical research), or the Clinical Trials Office (CTO) at the OSUCCC – James (cancer research). CTO contacts include Kathy Jelinek, Angela Campbell, or Kristina Humphries.

Please click the button below to view our availability and book a remote consultation.  Complex projects and/or questions anticipated to exceed 30 minutes should be directed to the IRB-specific mailbox for referral to the appropriate regulatory expert.
