Graduate students from various academic departments across campus attended the Graduate Game Night in the Commons event on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Attendees created groups of four to six people to play the various board games available together while enjoying pizza and other refreshments. Strategic competition games such as Settlers of Catan and Suburbia were a common choice for participants. A popular activity was the “Find the Difference” picture puzzles using the Digital Whiteboards. Six individuals from different academic departments worked together to find detailed differences in the puzzles. Another big hit were the various games available on the touch screen table. Multiple groups of people flocked to the interactive table to play Spider Solitaire and Flag Matching. Participants said they enjoyed the opportunity to interact with graduate students outside their department and using the specialized technology available in the Research Commons.
