Teaching with Us

Students examining materials in the reading room

The Rare Books & Manuscripts Library (RBML) facilitates opportunities to explore, interact with, and analyze primary source materials.

RBML collections are vast and able to support teaching across the disciplines. We welcome requests from all instructors interested in learning more about our collections and how to integrate RBML materials into their courses.

We offer a wide variety of options for instructional collaboration and support. Some possibilities include: creating class sessions and activities based on student learning goals; giving period, subject or material specific presentations; partnering with faculty to develop primary source-based assignments; and identifying and recommending materials.

RBML is committed to The Ohio State University’s land-grant mission and regularly hosts groups, including student organizations, K-12 classes, classes of nearby universities and local community groups. To learn more, email us at: thospcol@osu.edu
