Publishing and Repository Services

Publishing and Repository Services works with members of the Ohio State community to provide open access to scholarship. University Libraries offers journal publishing services via a number of platforms, but all of our journals are digital and open access, meaning there are no fees to read the articles. The Knowledge Bank is also a service of The Ohio State University Libraries that collects, preserves and distributes the intellectual output of The Ohio State University. Faculty, staff and students are invited to deposit their research and scholarship into the Knowledge Bank. Departments, administrative units, programs and centers are invited to use the Knowledge Bank to distribute their working papers, technical reports, conference proceedings and other research material.

Researchers can get assistance with:

  • Navigating the publication process as an author (choosing a journal, evaluating open access journals, etc.)
  • Determining if their work can be deposited in the Knowledge Bank according to the terms of publication agreements
  • Working through any issues related to editing or publishing journals (hosting, peer-review, layout editing, preservation, etc.)
  • Determining if their existing or new journal would be a good fit for our publishing program
