About Beth

Prior to joining Ohio State University Libraries in 2006, I worked in a public library for 13 years in a wide variety of roles. The customer service ethos of the public library greatly influenced my librarianship; it is evident in my focus on embedding the library into the campus community to support student success.

I enjoy working at the intersection of academic libraries, student affairs, and academic affairs, but my greatest passion is working directly with students. Serving as a STEP mentor, instructor for International Studies 4850, and workshop leader, I create learning experiences that help students relate information skills to their daily lives and academic path. I am also a certified Gallup Strengths coach, working with students and colleagues to provide a positive framework for personal, academic, and professional growth.
