Abstract

In the following article, the authors discuss ways programming can be used to foster creative thinking and inquiry-oriented exploration of number patterns and their properties. Using Trinket (https: // trinket. io/ ), a freely available on-line coding platform, students write and run Python code to animate number sequences as they engage in mathematics aligned to Common Core standards.
