University Libraries Associate Director Named ARL Leadership Fellow


Jennifer Vinopal, Associate Director for Information Technology, has been selected to participate in the 2018-2019 cohort of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) Leadership Fellows program.

In response to a continued need to develop future leaders of ARL member institutions, the ARL Leadership Fellows program facilitates the development of future senior-level leaders in large research libraries and archives.

As one of 30 individuals selected, Vinopal will construct a learning plan; engage in a customized, immersive experience to shadow a library director; participate in three weeklong institutes hosted by sponsoring ARL institutions; participate in online synchronous sessions; and attend semiannual Association meetings. 

This seventh offering of the program is being designed by ARLL staff in collaboration with the Leadership Fellows Advisory Group and the directors of the three sponsor libraries: University of FloridaThe George Washington University, and The University of Iowa.

This iteration of the program begins in February 2018 and runs through May 2019.
