Maureen Walsh, Associate Professor and Head of Publishing and Repository Services at University Libraries, was elected to the Member Advisory Board of the ArXiv preprint service.
ArXiv was developed for the physics community as an openly available tool for sharing the latest research freely and nearly instantaneously in the early days of the Internet. Now the service is managed by Cornell University and supported by a wide range of research institutions, including The Ohio State University Libraries.
Walsh has been actively involved in DuraSpace governance and is currently a member of the DSpace Steering Group and the Chair of the DSpace Community Advisory Team. She is known as a strong and collaborative leader in the Libraries’ well-established repository and publishing activities at Ohio State.
Walsh was also recognized for being well connected in the repository community, with long-standing and deep partnerships with units across campus.
