Tour of Frankenreads Exhibit: Mary Shelley and Frankenstein

Tuesday, October 30

2:30 - 3:30 PM

Special Collections Display Area, First Floor Thompson Library

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. In celebration, students and faculty in the English Department and the University Libraries curated an exhibit of materials from The Rare Books and Manuscripts Library, The Medical Heritage Center, and Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum featuring works by fellow Romantic women writers, works that influenced Shelley, and adaptations of her novel.

This exhibit is on view October 4 until November 26.

The exhibit complements the events scheduled later this month for Frankenreads—the international celebration for Halloween 2018 organized by the Keats-Shelley Association of America.
