Finding and Linking Students to an E-Book
- Go to library.osu.edu
- Enter a book title or topic in the search bar and click "search"
- Select "books" beneath the search bar
- Select the book you would like to link to and click on the title. If you don’t see the specific book you want listed, click “See all Library Catalog Results”
- On the book’s page, click "Permalink". Copy the new URL displayed on the screen.
Note: Many ebooks have limited the number of users who may access the book at the same time. You will find this information in the catalog record. Also, be aware that individual students will often be limited in the amount of the book, be it pages or chapters, that they are able to download as a PDF. This information is available in the catalog record. Students will be prompted to log in at the generated link; remind them that they can use their name.# to access any linked content.
