Before 1991, legal affairs administration at Ohio State University was referred to as Contracts Administration. Under University President Gordon Gee, the Office of Legal and Contract Services was created, consolidating legal affairs administration into one office. As of 2018, this office is known as the Office of Legal Affairs.
The Ohio State University, Office of Legal Affairs Records contain files transferred from this office, dated 1925-circa 2015.
