 Historical Note

The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) was established by the Ohio Board of Regents in 1987 as a statewide resource for computational research. Since 1987, OSC has expanded its services nationally. The center is run by faculty members from higher education institutions across Ohio, called the Statewide Users Group (SUG), and other advisory committees. As of 2018, OSC is a part of the Ohio Technology Consortium along with OARNet and OhioLINK.
