 Historical Note

The Ohio State University Marching Band Alumni Club, also known as The Best Damn Band In The Land (TBDBITL) Alumni Club, began meeting for reunions in 1966, and became a formal organization in 1972. The group states its purpose as promoting closer relationships among the alumni of the University Marching Band. Membership is open to those who have graduated from the Ohio State University and were active participants in the Ohio State University Marching Band. Meetings for the organization are held annually and members of the club participate in the Ohio State Alumni Band celebration. The Ohio State University Marching Band Alumni Club offers scholarships to current students enrolled at Ohio State who also participate in the Marching Band. The organization remains active as of 2018.

 Scope and Contents

The Ohio State University Marching Band Alumni Club Records contain correspondence, reports, newsletters, records related to Rose Bowl trips, and other administrative records related to the Alumni Club.
