The Starling Ohio Women's Club Records contain scrapbooks, programs, a constitution and by-laws, minutes, financial reports, and membership cards. The Woman's Club of the Ohio Medical University was established in 1895 by the wives of faculty members and trustees of the Ohio Medical University. When the Ohio Medical University and Starling Medical College merged in 1907, the Woman's Club invited the wives of Starling faculty members to join their organization, and the name of the club became "Starling Ohio Women's Club."

Historical Note
The Woman's Club of the Ohio Medical University was established in 1895 by the wives of faculty members and trustees of the Ohio Medical University, for the purpose of "entertaining and becoming acquainted with the students." When the Ohio Medical University and Starling Medical College merged in 1907, the Woman's Club invited the wives of Starling faculty members to join their organization. The name of the club became "Starling Ohio Women's Club." In 1926, the by-laws stated that the club's purpose was to "stimulate intellectual development", "promote good fellowship among the members", and "engage in welfare work". The members at this point consisted of wives, widows, mothers, daughters or sisters of any member or ex-member of the medical, dental, or pharmaceutical faculty or the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University.
