Historical Note

Delta Upsilon was initially founded at Williams College in 1834; the Ohio State Chapter was founded in 1904, and is the school's longest continuously chartered fraternity. The national undergraduate male fraternity is the oldest non-secret fraternity in the nation, meaning that they are open about what happens during their rituals and initiations. Members are committed to the vision of "Building better men," through their four founding principles: the promotion of friendship, development of character, diffusion of liberal culture, and advancement of justice. Delta Upsilon members participate in philanthropic events, volunteer opportunities, study sessions, and social events. As of 2019, Delta Upsilon is active at the Ohio State University.
