 Historical Note

The Ohio State University Concert Band began with the Symphonic Band in 1929. In 1952, it became known as the Concert Band. The band played for commencements and held formal concerts, often accompanying University Chorus. As of 2019, the concert bands consisted of four divisions: Wind Symphony; Symphonic Band; Collegiate Winds; and University Band.

The Ohio State University, Concert Band Audio Recordings consist of a recording of the band's 1985 Carnegie Hall performance contained on one audiocassette, a 1970 recording of the band performing "March Masterpieces" on long-play record, and a 1966 recording of the band on one magnetic audiotape.
