 Historical Note

Beta Alpha Psi is a national accounting honorary and service fraternity; its first chapter was founded in 1919 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Ohio State University chapter is the Omicron Chapter, which was founded in 1929. Beta Alpha Psi recognizes members for outstanding academic achievements in accounting and finance, helps promote interaction with CPAs (certified public accountants), conducts technical and personal development programs, and promotes community service. It is open to coed undergraduate and graduate students with majors in either accounting, finance, or information systems, and contacting the current recruitment chair of the fraternity. Beta Alpha Psi is active at the Ohio State University as of 2018.
