The Alpha Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity is a national service fraternity at the Ohio State University. It was first formed on campus in 1925, and was chartered as the Alpha Iota Chapter by the national organization on May 29, 1934. Alpha Phi Omega was initially open only to men at the Ohio State University who were or had previously been affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America, or any boy scout movement recognized by the International Association of Boy Scouts. Around 1985, Alpha Phi Omega at the Ohio State University started admitting women; as of 2018, the membership requirements no longer require potential members to have been involved in scouting, but still support their original three pillars of leadership, fellowship, and service.

Along with performing community service projects, Alpha Phi Omega has also been in charge of ringing the Ohio Stadium Victory Bell since 1954. The bell is rung by members for 15 minutes after each home Buckeye football victory, and for 30 minutes after beating the University of Michigan. At times, Alpha Phi Omega has auctioned off the rights to ring the bell in order to raise funds for various charities. Graduating seniors of the fraternity are also given the opportunity to ring the bell one last time at spring commencement.
