 Historical Note

Epsilon Sigma Phi is a national fraternity for extension service professionals that was founded in 1927 at Montana State University. The Alpha Eta chapter was established at Ohio State University on October 17, 1928 and is active as of 2018. The group’s purposes are to promote improvement, excellence, professionalism, and a spirit of community in the extension service field. Members must have worked in Extension Services for five or more years, and include educators, program assistants, extension associates, specialists, and administrators; this chapter is only open to current and former Ohio State University Extension employees.

 Scope and Contents

The Ohio State University, Epsilon Sigma Phi Records contain minutes, reports, correspondence, newsletters, yearbooks, and other materials. Collection materials are dated 1930-2004, and topics include the management, activities, and history of Epsilon Sigma Phi.
