The Association of Ohio State Honoraries was established circa 1977 to oversee the class honoraries at Ohio State University. In the mid-1980s, the organization began to be referred to as the Association of Ohio State Class Honoraries (AOSCH); it is active as of 2018. The Association is composed of representatives from each of the class honor societies: Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma, Romophos, Mirrors, Chimes, Bucket and Dipper, Sphinx, and Mortar Board. Its purposes are to preserve, promote, and improve the honorary system; represent the common interests of the honoraries as an ambassador to the University administration and community; and foster the honorary ideals: scholarship, leadership, and service. It also facilitates intra-honorary communication and plans intra-honorary activities, such as service projects and social events.
The Ohio State University, Association of Ohio State Class Honoraries Records contain meeting minutes, membership rosters, financial reports, and other materials related to the management and activities of this organization. Collection materials are dated 1978-1995.
