 Historical Note

The Association for Systems Management (ASM) was an international professional systems management organization, which was founded in 1947 and continued until 1996. The Ohio State University student chapter of ASM was established by 1979. It existed at least until 1992, but is not active as of 2018. Group members were computer science majors, and the group’s purpose was to help students understand the systems management profession. ASM meetings were often either guest speakers from the professional world or social activities.

 Scope and Contents

The Ohio State University, Association for Systems Management Records contain a resume book, newsletters, correspondence, posters, membership lists, and other administrative materials. Collection materials are dated 1979-1982.
