The Student Philanthropy Council at the Ohio State University was created during Fall semester 2016 as a program through the Office of Student Life; it is intended to promote student philanthropy and student giving at the university. Membership is open to all undergraduates with a GPA over 2.0 by application. The Student Philanthropy Council has partnered with the Ohio State University Alumni Association, the Ohio State University's Buckeye Love fundraising campaign, and the Department of Student Philanthropy on projects and events. Members focus on three pillars related to philanthropy: education, engagement, and gratitude. It is an active group as of 2018.
