Delta Phi Delta was a national co-ed honorary art fraternity. It began as the Palette Club in 1909 at the University of Kansas and became Delta Phi Delta in 1912. The Alpha Delta chapter was established at Ohio State University in 1939, as a result of a petition to the national organization by the Pen and Brush Club. Faculty, juniors, seniors, and graduate students who met minimum grade criteria were eligible to join. The group organized events such as art shows, sales, and competitions. It dissolved circa 1962, and as of 2018, neither the Ohio State University chapter nor the national organization appear to be active.
