Sigma Eta Chi was a national sorority, affiliated with the Congregational church. The first chapter was organized in 1923 at Ohio State University, with 21 members, and was in existence at the University until at least 1943. It became a national organization in 1926, and by 1928, four additional chapters had been established at other universities. Sigma Eta Chi dissolved at the national level sometime in the mid-twentieth century.
