 Historical Note

Founded in 1911, the National Block and Bridle Club, Saddle and Sirloin Chapter is an active student organization at Ohio State University as of 2018. The purpose of the Club is to promote and support interest in the animal and meat industries, and membership is open to any students interested in animal science. First held in 1912, the Little International is an annual livestock showmanship competition, put on by the Saddle and Sirloin Club to give students the opportunity to learn how to exhibit an animal.

 Scope and Contents

The National Block and Bridle Club, Saddle and Sirloin Chapter Programs contain programs from the Little International Livestock Show, dated 1929-1997. A program from the Herdsmen Round Up, presented with the Department of Animal Husbandry, is also included, dated February 4, 1941.
